So things have been happening and days have been going on. Let's see if I can recall all thats happened in the last 3 weeks. The kids are getting along great. Emma is always telling Brig...."Big no. Big sit down." Things like that. Of course like any two 2 year olds they fight over toys or one makes the other cry for no apparent reason. Brig gave Emma her first black eye. He threw a jenga block at her and it cut her right below her left eye. Poor little girl cried so hard for like 5 mins and Brig just kept trying to give her a hug to say sorry. He doesn't know how to say the word yet but he loves to give sorry hugs.
I'm doing okay with this second pregnancy. I get tired real easy and I tend to feel sick after I take my prenatal pills no matter what part of the day I take it. I've been dealing with alot of lows and an occasional high with my bloodsugars. I got "tickled" on Sunday Monday or Tuesday coming home from Idaho Falls. It felt weird but it kinda felt like I was getting tickled from inside my tummy....twice. Tyler made the comment the other day that it seems like my stomach has a mind of its own because some days its bigger than others. LOL...
Tyler has decided to join ROTC at BYU-I but needs to get his gpa up just a little so it will take a semester to do that to get accepted to BYU-I. He's decided he wants to be a pilot in the National Guard and would become an officer through ROTC and get paid better than if he joined now as a private.
We finally get to move into our own place this weekend I think. It'll be nice.
We've gotten snowed on twice since we've gotten here and its supposed to dump more on us this coming weekend. I'm hoping it'll be alot but Jo is hoping not because she has a wedding to photograph this Saturday. Brig is funny with the snow. The first time it snowed he looked out the window and said..."ewwwwww!!" The second time it snowed he wanted to go playing it but wouldn't put his boots on so he didn't get to play in it. He watch Cars instead.
I'm guessing that before to long Brig will be ready to do the whole potty training thing. He took his diaper off the other day and brought it to me saying "Mommy.Mommy." I looked over at him and it was a stinky diaper. I took it from him and he ran for the toilet. He just had to sit on it. While sitting on the big boy toilet, he starts tearing off little pieces of toilet paper and dropping it in the toilet between his legs. Than something clicked and he ripped off a whole square and dropped it in behind him. It was very cute and he was very proud of him self.
So next week is Thanksgiving. We'll be at Tyler's aunt and uncle's house in Idaho Falls that day. Brig gets on with their family very well. There will be kids his age there on Thursday so I hope he gets along with them okay. If not, Casey or Jeff might have a little 2 year old tagging along behind them. (Those are 2 of Tyler's cousins)

We're Here
Well, for those that don't know Tyler got a job in Idaho Falls, Idaho. We've been apart since Conference weekend. We are now together again. Tyler and Jeremy came and got Brig and I this last weekend and we made it to Jo and Jeremy's house in Rexburg, Id around midnight last night. The drive wasn't bad at all. Brig slept most of the way and was pretty good when he was awake. Since there was so much stuff with him in the back seat, we were able to put him in the middle seat so he could see. I think he rather liked it. I was able to sleep a few hours but I tried to stay awake. I didn't want to have Tyler falls asleep when I was sleeping but Tyler did a good job at staying awake. We discovered about the time we crossed into Idaho that we couldn't turn on the heater if we wanted to be able to see out the windows. We're going to get it fixed but it was so cold for the last hour and a half. We couldn't turn on the heat at all. Oh well. I just hope Tyler's warm enough driving to and from Idaho Falls for the next few weeks.
So our story for the trip is this. We were about an hour outside of Vegas yesterday morning and the wind was blowing pretty good. Tyler and I were following Jeremy. We had our car and Jeremy was in a truck pulling the trailer. All of a sudden we see the camper shell that was on the truck come flying over the back of the trailer. It bounced once in the right lane and landed off the road about 10 feet. I was so glad it didn't hit anyone since there were cars behind us in both lanes. Hopefully they saw it happen and were able to slow down. Anyways, so we all pulled over. While Jeremy was packing up to get closer to the shell, he got to far over and ended up getting stuck in the loose gravel, a little jack-knifed. They tried to figure out how to get it out but it just kept getting deeper and deeper. After like an hour, 2 trucks pulled over and helped us get it out and back on the road. ;)

Merry Jo
Merry Jo is one of my younger sisters. She just graduated high school in May and is dating a wonderful guy named Tommy. I got a text around 530 am today from Merry Jo saying that she had been rushed to the hospital last night but she was going to be okay. She had overian cysts, only recently found that out about 1 1/2 months ago when the first one burst. Well last night she was out with Tommy at a friends house when this one burst. Thankfully her friend is her doctor's niece and her brother is in medical school. Merry Jo passed out and than started throwing everything and anything up. Couldn't breathe because of all the pressure going on inside. Nasty business. The Docter/uncle told them to take her straight to the hospital. It turns out that when this cyst burst, it also ruptured an artery in her stomache. She had 2 liters of blood pumped out of her stomache and was then given 2 liters of new blood. The doctor in the ER told her and my mom and Tommy that if she had been any later, she could had died from the amount of blood in her stomache. SO thankfully, I still have a younger sister named Merry Jo. Brig and I went and saw her for a little bit this morning. She'll be there til sometime tomorrow afternoon.

A day in the kitchen
So yesterday I had most of my family over. My mom, Emily and Kambri. Damon, Tanner, and Jedera. Mom came to teach me how to make bread the correct way even though I have the recipe, though no one makes it like she does. I can say it turned out delicious. But off story. The kids came along to swim and Emily took Kambri into the pool as well. I can honestly say that Emily looks better in my swim suits while pregnant than I do. Which is good for her and a little depressing for me but its in the works to fit them all!!! Kambri didn't like the pool all that much but she loved looking down at everyone from the balcony over looking the pool. Brig was hanging on for dear life to Tanner. Thank good Tanner is a good uncle and loves his nephew. So Mom and everyone left around 430 pm. Tyler was on the phone setting up a job interview with Chase Bank (keep your fingers crossed!!!) so he didn't get to say good-bye. Any ways, I was taking out the bread shortly after that when Brig came into the kitchen. I told him Hot! Don't touch! I guess he thought I was talking about the oven door because he tried to push in the oven rack with his bare hand. Oh how he cried and I felt terrible. I wanted to cry too. So I ran his hand under cold water and than some aloe. Also some baby Tylenol because I didn't have anything else for him. I gave him an ice pack too. He thought that was great fun! He stopped crying and kept putting it on his head or in his mouth. I looked at his hand this morning, it wasn't to pretty. His right hand has some nasty blisters on it. 2 fingers and the pad of his hand between the 2. Today there was an occasional ouch but he didn't seem to notice it very much at all. I love my son. Its amazing how fast time is going. He'll be 2 in August and he still loves to cuddle with me like when he was born.

A Wedding, 2 dogs, & lots of family
So its been awhile since I've posted anything. Lets see if I can remember all thats happened. Still looking for jobs. We'll most likely end up moving in with either set of parents but who knows just yet. Brig is just getting big and big and is skinny like his daddy. He's saying lots of new words and you can almost get full sentences out of him (depends on the day). It was cute yesterday on the way to mom's house. He kept asking me where the babies were. I told him I didn't know where they were because I hadn't seen them. So then he asked about where his daddy was.
Brig and I went with my family to a cousin's wedding Memorial Day weekend in New Mexico. It was a rainy weekend but it was nice. The wedding was beautiful. The bride and groom very happy. They went to Hawaii for the honeymoon. We stayed with my Aunt Connie and her family. They also have 2 dogs. Now dogs used to scare Brig but by the time we left on Sunday, he was chasing those 2 dogs every where. He wouldn't go to bed at night until the dogs were in bed. He'd give them hugs and kisses but didn't like it when they tried to jump on him or lick him. The barking scared him some what but not to bad. Only if it was right in his face.
I got to talk to a cousin of mine that i haven't talked to since i was about 10 years old. She got married a few months before I did. It was nice catching up with her. There were family there from Utah, D.C., Arizona, and New Mexico. It was great. Don't get to see them very often anymore.

Three of my sisters
These are my 3 youngest sisters. As you can all see, they're gorgeous. Merry Jo (far left) is 18 and is starting to spread her wings. Beth (middle) is 16 and all the boys love her. Jedera (far right) is the youngest of us 10 kids at the age of 10. She's a pistol and always fun to be around. All of these girls are very sweet and are some of my best friends. They may be my sisters but they'll always be some of the best friends I ever find.

X Men Origins: Wolverine
So yeah the world premeier for the new X Men movie was in Tempe, Arizona today!!! My friend Erin and I went to it. It was so much fun to just be hanging out, just the girls. Seriously, Hugh Jackman and the rest of the cast were within 10 feet of where we were standing!!!! When Hugh got there, he didn't arrive in a limo. He rode up on a motorcycle!!!! How hot is that? LOL!!!!! Anyways, it was pretty exciting for us since we're both huge fans of Hugh Jackman. We'll both be dragging our husbands to that movie as soon as we can!!! I took some pictures but they look really blurry so I'll post more when Erin emails them to me!!!

A day in the life......
So Brig and I were going to watch a movie the other day and the "Ring of Death" appeared on our X-Box 360. For those that don't know what that means, instead of a circle of green lights when you turn it on, its 3 red lights that make the circle. So Tyler has been trying to fix it the last few days. In fact he's pretty much just has to put it back together to see if the instructions that he followed actually worked!! Cross your fingers!!!
We went to breakfast with my in laws this morning. Talk about COLD!!! For Arizona anyways. It was their ward breakfast and they had it outside. The only problem was was that it was raining!!! But hey as long as the food is good, who cares right? Right! Brig has fun standing in the rain getting wet. He'd stand between the 2 tents that were pitched and let the rain drip in big drops onto his hair and face. He had big smiles for everyone after that!
I'm finally going to be getting in shape. I got 1 year membership to 24hour Fitness for my birthday. The only prob with that is that I've been sick. I'd love to work out right now but its a little hard to when you can't really breathe very well. Darn allergies and sinuses.

For those who are in the pictures, let me know if you want a copy and I can get one printed. :) And Jo, I just found a cute wedding picture of yours that I took so if I can get your new address, I'll mail it to you along with a picture of Emma.

This past week
So this past week has gone by. Not to much has happened but quite a bit has. We all finally got medicine going to help us feel better. Our friends/neighbors moved to Idaho on Wednesday. We already miss them alot. They were fun to hang out with and great to talk to when we needed someonelse to talk to. We've started watching Lord of the Rings (the extended version) with our friends Drew and Aimee. Its been funny. Every time they've been over, Drew just happens to leave something at our house. First it was his laptop. Second was his nano-ipod. Last night he left his wallet. We don't mind, we just think its really funny. Now is General Conference weekend. Because of Brig and Tyler and my self not feeling all to great yet, I have only heard parts of Saturdays sessions and Sunday morning. Now I've listening to the Sunday afternoon session and hoping against hope that Brig will take a nap soon. We found out that Brig has a doublt ear infection, an eye infection, and a cold. Tyler has an almost-sinus infection. and I just have allergies and a sinus infection. Sucks to be us right now. I talked to my sister Afton today. I can't wait to see her next month. It been way to long since I've seen her.

Things that have and are happening.....
So while Tyler and I had family in town this last week, I got a call from a family friend last Sunday asking if I needed her to watch Brig for me while we go and help look for my dad and little brother Tanner. I had NO clue as to what was going on. I tried calling my parents house, my sister Emily, and finally got hold of my brother in law Jason. Apparently my Dad and little brother Tanner had gone on a 3 day hike and never showed up the day before like planned. Oh my gosh is all I could say without busting into tears. I just sat there shaking so bad. I told Tyler and he could see the tears that weren't falling. So I called Amber back and told thanks but no thanks. Finally got hold of my Mom for a few mins while she had reception on her phone. She wanted me to go help watch kids since she didn't need me helping to look. Luckily, Dad got a call through to Mom saying they were all right and that the path they were supposed to be on was hard to get to so they had taken a different trail and ended up at the I-17. Some nice guy was giving them a lift back to where my Mom and 2 sisters and half the guys from their ward were. So all's well that ends well. I told Dad never to scare me like that again. He said he'd try but wasn't making any promises.
So our friends next door are moving this week. Jo and Jeremy and EmmaLee are amazing people, even if Emma likes to scream alot. We're going to miss them alot. It's going to be strange to have new neighbors. I'm going to miss having Emma around all the time and talking with Jo about almost all things under the sun. Jeremy's a good and fun to joke around with so I'm going to miss him as well.
We'll be in Utah this next weekend. Tyler had a mission reunion he would like to go to since the last one was way to stressful while we were there. We'll be staying with my grandpa and step-grandma up there that hasn't met Brig yet but who love the pictures that we have shown. When we told my in laws that we would be going to Utah Conference weekend, my father in law started laughing. He brought up our last trip to Utah. It was 2 years ago and I was 5 months pregnant and had to gotten my insulin pump not to long before. I had flown to Utah ahead of Tyler because he had to work or something like that. He ended up driving up with Jo (also 5 months preg at the time) and Jeremy because his flight was over booked. Couldn't even get on the next morning it was so packed. So while Tyler, Jo, and Jeremy are still 6 hours from Salt Lake, I get admitted to the hospital due to very high blook sugers that wouldn't come down. Turned out that I had hit a point that where I just wasn't getting enough insulin from my pump and had to readjust it. So because of that we never made our flight to Idaho to visit my family up there. Still haven't been there since I've been married (but that's going to change this year---4th of July baby!!!!!).
I told Rick (father in law) that there were 2 differences this year. I'm not pregnant and we're not flying. My dad also pointed out that now I know how to work my insulin pump better now too. So this year should be lots of fun because my sister Jamie will also be in Salt Lake and hopefully staying with Grandpa and Marrdy as well!!!! I can't wait to see her.

Fun in the Sun
So this week we have some family in town on Tyler's side. His aunt and uncle, 2 of their kids, and 3 grandkids. Yesterday was a fun day. At noon we all went to a Cubs vs Rockies game. Those kids plus Brig were pretty good and had lots of fun!! We all got hot dogs except for Sarah who got a HUGE thing of cotton candy which she shared with her brothers. By the time they were done eating, they all had cotton candy all over there hands and faces. Then theres Brig. By the last 2 or 3 innings rolled around, he was ready to play. So we went for a few walks above where we were sitting. He swung from the railing blocking of the handicap section and turned in circles around a small post. We sang along with Cindi Standage while she sang "Take me out to the ball game" during the 7th inning stretch. After the game we all went back to my in laws house. Brig fell asleep on the way back and slept for almost 2 hours. While pizzas were cooking, I put in the movie Ironman. Jonathan and Ryan (Sarah's older twin brothers) were sitting there watching it with me (after the first few adult parts in the begining). I don't think I've ever answered so many questions at one time than I did for those 2 cute little boys. Their dad told me I didn't have to answer them but I had fun so I did. Questions like why is he making that suit? when does Ironman make his red suit? Why is she doing that? There's a scene were Tony and Pepper are at this party and Tony asks Pepper to dance. Jonathan saw Pepper's dress and asked me if I could fast foward it because she wasn't modest. Now tell me..............How cute is that? His parents are teaching those kids good!!!!

Friday Nights
So right now I'm sitting at home on a Friday night while my husband and his friend Jeremy from next door are playing on the XBox 360. Don't ask what game because I honestly couldn't tell you. The funny part is that both kids, Brig and Emma, are out there with them and I can hear Tyler telling them to move it or lose it. Brig keeps trying to play with his car on top of the tv and Emma's just climbing onto everything! oh well. It'll be a good experience for them.......right?
So nothing much is going on. My brother in law JT is coming into town later tonight and will be here for awhile. Just needs a bit of a vacation. My sister Adelia and her kids were here last week and are now in California with her in laws visiting family. My sister Merry Jo did a photo shoot the other day and from the pics I've seen she's really got it going. What can I say? She's family. http://www.sarahgoodmanphotography.com/ Apparently these are just the first few of many. Cute huh?
Brig is teething again. So that means ALOT of milk (plain and chocolate) and very little food. Luckily no rashes this time. BUT....I finally got him to eat some food tonight. A few bites of some ham that my mom cooked and some french fries. I think we're making some progress.
I got some blood work done this last monday. you know the normal stuff that gets checked? chloestrol, lipids, etc. Well I also got some blood work to see how well my diabetes is doing and its doing great. My hebagloban A1C is a 7.0!!!!! I got it down to a 6.0 while I was pregnant with Brig. A 6.0 is the best I've ever been in my whole life, so a 7.0 is good too. The last time I got it checked it was almost to an 8 so I'm glad I'm getting it back in control. The only thing my doc said for me to do was to exercise more. No duh!!!

Not much
So not much has happened today. Last night Brig woke up at about midnight and I brought him to bed with us. Its fun having him sleep with us because its like a slumber party but I don't get much sleeping done. Brig tends to sleep sideways so his head ends up on Tyler's stomach and his feet on my stomach or legs. It didn't use to be that way. He would sleep on my chest while I was propped up on pillows. He still trys to do that but he just doesn't fit as well any more!! :) Today Brig has just wanted to be outside constantly. So we took the garbage out and than we played outside twice. Had fun both times. Now its getting to be later into the day and I have to think of something for dinner. I also have Enrichment tonight and a meeting with our Bishop. This next week is going to be fairly busy for us. Tomorrow Brig and I go walking in the morning, visiting teachers at 1, and I have a sister and neices and nephews flying in. Thursday I'm hoping to be able to spend the day with Adelia and my many other sisters and possibly go to the temple with them as well. After that we're having dinner at my parents house in Chandler and who knows how late we'll be there. Friday is Tyler's birthday!!! He'll be 25 yrs old. Dang. We're having like 20 friends over that night for ice cream and cookies (homemade of course). It'll be a mad house and my house is already not clean. Saturday is my sister Emily's birthday, she'll be 25 as well. Sunday is a day full of family activities followed by dinner. Monday is my Dad's birthday. Luckily we have a break til Thursday which is my birthday. What can I say? We like March!!!!

Poor kid
Today was a sad day for Brig. He had to get 5 shots. He cried while getting them but stopped almost as soon as i picked him up. But then I made the mistake of trying to put his shoes on while he was trying to look at his band-aids. Luckily, right now he is asleep. He was very tired when we left the doc's office. I'm so proud of my little man and how brave he can be. Brigham is the best little boy I could ever ask for.
Friday, March 6, 2009
So today we went to the park and tried to have some fun. There just happened to be tons of kids there. Not so much little kids but kids that were like 7 or 8 or older and they didn't pay much attention to the little one and kept knocking them down. Though one boy did pick Brig up after someone else accidently knocked him down. Needless to say that him and Emma decided to stay close to Mommys after that.
While we were walking we saw that someone had their electric sailboat out on the water. Of course I couldn't pass it up, I had to get a picture. It was pretty cool watching it out there.
The last few days have been kinda hectic. Laundry, dishes, coldes, and teething. Brig's had a fever the last few days and not sleeping through the night like he usually does. Everything had to be done with Mommy holding him or he just wasn't happy. At night his body would get so hot that his feet were almost to hot to touch. Thankfully his fever broke yesterday and is back to wanting to do things on his own again. Don't get me wrong I love it when he cuddles with me but after 3 days of non-stop cuddling while soaking up the heat that was coming off Brig in waves.
While we were walking we saw that someone had their electric sailboat out on the water. Of course I couldn't pass it up, I had to get a picture. It was pretty cool watching it out there.

Local Wildlife
Some friends and I get together with our kids and go walking 3 times a week. Today as we were finishing up our last round around the duck pond/lake, we saw some turtles sunning themselves on the rocks. We've only seen them once before so we thought it was pretty cool. Usually we just see a bunch of ducks and pigeons.

Helping Mom in the kitchen
So I decided to make chocolate chip cookies today while Tyler was off at meetings. Brig had to help stir the mix and than eat some of the choco chips one at a time. So while I was putting the dough on the tray Brig took everything out of the cupboard by me and climbed on it. It was fun trying to get a picture of him while in there. He kept playing peek-a-boo between the 2 cupboard doors.

New at this
Hey everyone! I think i've finally figured out how to do some things on our family blog but i'm not sure as to how much i know.
Well things are going good for us right now.
Tyler's job is doing great and he's enjoying it so much. Of course he still plays his video games and Magic cards but not nearly as much. Tyler's thinking of going back to school but its still up in the air. So we'll see what all happens on that end. Tyler has also gotten into rock climbing with one of our friends in our apartment complex. They have a great time doing it too. We went to the Phoenix Rock Gym last week and had a blast. I got worn out fast but Tyler could have kept going.
Brig is getting so BIG!!!! He's now 18 months and constantly on the go. We go the park 3 times a week and he's always running from one end of the play area to the other and sometimes over the short wall. Brig's got a very best friend names Emma who he is always wanting to play with and calls for her all day long. Right now he's down for a nap so I thought I'd give this a go. I can't believe how fast he's growing and how much he's learning. One of his favorite things to do is play with the dishwasher but lately he just wants to pull the sharp knives out so we have to keep him out of it.
As for me, not much is going on. I'm trying to get back in shape and lose all my extra weight. I walk 3 times a week at the Kiwanis Park in Tempe with 2 of my friends and their little girls. Plus I'm trying to get my diabetes back into control so that it will be okay to get pregnant again (not happening right now but before to long) and also just to be healthy again. Mostly the healthy part. Oh!! And I'm trying all these new recipes that are from diabetic cookbooks. They're not nearly as bad as I thought they'd be. So I'm starting to lose the weight but I've still got a ways to go. Not to much else is happening for me that I can think of right now. I'll try to keep you posted!!!
